Shows scenes in the career of Gen. Douglas MacArthur. He receives the Distinguished Service Medal from Gen. John J. Pershing in 1918. In 1930 he is sworn in as Chief of Staff and reviews troops. He observes maneuvers and receives the Legion of Honor in France and reviews German troops in 1931. He speaks on the spirit of West Point to the class of 1933. Sec. of War Dern decorates the General in a ceremony marking his retirement in 1935.
